I had two US Treasury Strips, due in feb 2012 yielding less than 1%. I sold them very easily for 99 plus change....i think it was 99.5, or very close to it.

The reason I'm posting this is because a year or so ago I tried to sell some low yielding stuff thru etrade, and I got terrible bids. But thats not the case now.

Someone else can have that little bit of yield, I put the proceeds into a dividend-paying equity and sold a Jan 2012 out of the money call.
