I should like to offer Bookgrrl as a nominee for the Feste Award. While there are other worthy posters (I gave long thought to nominating MichaelRead or Leviathan) I believe that Bookgrrl epitomizes much that is the best of the Fool.

I start by pointing out the obvious - she has both a Cup and a Crown. Not only a much loved Fool, but also a highly recced one. Her posts are carefully considered and thought out, and she makes her points clearly and carefully.

One of her most recent posts,

shows her concern for those in her area who might be hungry. Her concerns go beyond how to save money for herself, but are extended to those in her community who are without food, to children who face a bleak future, to homes where there is no joy.

Her concern for children comes from her work,

and carries over into her life.

She has the gift of sharing small pleasures,

and examining the larger issues of spending,

I believe she has added enormously to the Fool, and what Fools can do when they band together, and I hope you will give her serious consideration for the award.

Michael, I really did want to nominate you, but I had to go with Bookgrrl this year.
