I'll admit I haven't shelled out the cash for the book. So I'm not absolutley sure of the definition of a Tweener but I assume its a company thats not quite a rule-maker or a rule-breaker but fits somewhere between the two.

If so I would like to classify Nortel Networks as a tweener. The rulemaker it is up against is Cisco (and possibly Lucent - but I'd question that one as it seems to be kicking Lucents butt). In the past it has bene a rule maker. And in the future it probably will be a rule maker again - defining hwo we converge voice and data networks - right now it is fighting that battle with Lucent Cisco et al.

Are we going to have some well defined criteria for tweeners posted so thatwe can see run companies through the filter like we do for RMs?
