Not a bad year, relative to the S&P 500. An equal weighted portfolio of the 10 stocks I picked at the end of last year would have returned 17.61% with dividends included, but not reinvested. By my calculations, SPY would have returned 13.37% My real-life portfolio did not do quite as well, as I kept some cash, up to around 20% or so for a good portion of the year, and positions in oil stocks (CVX, COP, XOM) hurt performance. Probably sold some winners a little early, as well, but I'd prefer that to holding onto something too long. Aflac disappointed also, but it's back for 2015.

Sold off VALU, MDT & PFE through the year. Bought COP, IBM, SPLS & BASFY from my watch list and also GME, TUP, fact a lot of turnover this year.
