I had my second ultrasound this morning. Of course, the first order of business (after a dash to the restroom -- all that pushing on a full bladder!) is to come update my friends here.

Things still look pretty good. The heartbeat is stronger now (182 bpm -- last time was 128), the fetus is bigger (just over 2 cm) and everything looks normal.

I know I'm borrowing trouble, but I still just can't quite let myself get excited. But I am definitely feeling some relief. Maybe "excited" will show up late to the party? :)

It appears that what they thought last time was corpus luteum, is now apparently a cyst. It's getting bigger. And, I might add, more uncomfortable, as I've noticed the last few days. So they want to keep an eye on that. I'm not sure how big a deal that is in the grand scheme of things. The U/S tech didn't sound overly concerned -- just said we'd want to monitor it.

So ... good news for us!
