NPH finally screwing up enough of your nights? Take Lantus in two doses, not the once daily suggestion. One upon awakening and the other before bedtime, rather than one every 12 hours.

I find a slight drop from it, 8 hours later. The bedtime one is good for the dawn phenomenon, and the morning one is good for the late afternoon. The correct dosage is the amount needed to keep your blood sugar normal if you did not eat any food, nor take any other insulin. I find I need more during allergy season. It must be refrigerated and it cannot be mixed with other insulins when injected.

I like it.
