He accurately predicted ISIS would probably “attempt to take territory in Iraq and Syria to exhibit its strength in 2014, as demonstrated recently in Ramadi and Fallujah and [by] the group’s ability to concurrently maintain safe havens in Syria.”

Related: Michael Rubin: General Flynn must explain himself

Everything Flynn’s DIA predicted came true, and he was pushed out because people in the White House didn’t want to hear it. As Flynn told The New York Times, “It didn’t meet the narrative.”

He was right and they were wrong. Now he’s in and they are out. Hence the “creeping sense of despair” on the Obama team.

Obama dropped the ball.

Obama dropped the ball.

Obama did way more than that. He stripped the ball from his own teammate, then ran it back to his own 1 yard line. THEN he dropped the ball off to the other team, who scored a touchdown.

The renewed focus on Flynn’s inflammatory rhetoric comes as former KKK head David Duke celebrated news of Flynn’s naming to the top national security position in Trump’s incoming administration by retweeting an anti-Semitic tweet shared by Flynn this past summer.

Great Pick! – Gen. Flynn's retweet shows he knows that the Saudis, ISIS & the Jewish-NeoCons are the real enemies – NOT Assad & NOT Russia! pic.twitter.com/Z9D9CHHXeQ

Flynn's son is cool too. He shows the hypocrisy of race in the USA. Blacks, Mexicans & Jews can have intra dating sites but whites, No WAY! pic.twitter.com/s8C6cp6ass

And it isn’t just Flynn’s rhetoric that has come under intensified scrutiny since his selection as top national security adviser.

New reports this week indicate that Flynn’s lobbying firm took tens of thousands of dollars in lobbying fees from a Turkish client and produced “all-source intelligence support” for other international clients, even as Flynn himself was receiving classified briefings as part of Trump’s national security team — in a possible violation of U.S. law.

Former White House ethics advisor Norm Eisen told Yahoo News’ Michael Isikoff this week that Flynn’s actions are “profoundly troubling and should be disqualifying.”

He seemed to be having a good old time with the turkeys today and the Medal of Freedom ceremony yesterday.

Despair? I think not.

The only folks dispairing are the Trumpites who now realize they have been had and have been bamboozled and befuddled. SEE: Breitbart, Broken promises, boo hoo, some despair. Two weeks in.

Invasion of Iraq-------------->MISSION ACCOMPLISHED------------AL qAEDA in Iraq----------------ISIS

Anyone with a lick of sense knows that. Well, like,

Swahawks------------>Division champs--------------->Super Bowl.

Just a fact. Oh, how difficult it must be to be a Packers fan. LM :) I can only imagine the sorrow and the pain and the yearning.
