Oh, what to do. I like them both. They are only different, how do I compare? And if I can't choose,
can I not watch a movie? Err, film?
Which is it anyway, film or movie? Beer in a clear bottle or gin in a blue one?

as a young woman who i greatly admired once splained to
me ::

Movie: entertainment,
Film :: art-form, although more often, *attempted* art-form;
Picture ::: product of industry (has as much to do with art
or entertainment as a washer-dryer)

trying to compare them is the proverbial comparing of apples and
grapefruit and toasters -- one CAN appreciate them all
(or none), but one shouldn't try to compare across
the boundaries --
(and notice that the Oscar(tm) goes to "Best Picture")

everything on JJ's list is an excellent movie. some are
very good films....
everything from the opposition is a 'film' .
i like em both, depending on mood (my top five would
have a couple of samurai movies);

(the reason Euros seem to make more and better films, is,
i think, mostly because we don't import their crap.)

Beer from an amber bottle;
Gin from a clear one --Sapphire adds nothing but alcohol.
*i* see no reason to be physiologically limited to
three Sapphires when i could instead drink six or
seven Bombays.
