Spent a rainy Saturday going through the new one Blackwood Farm.

Very good in my opinion. The storyline mixes The Vampire Chronicles (Lestat, really, none of the others) with the Mayfair family of The Witching Hour. Set mostly in swampy Louisianna but with a few visitations to other areas as well. I detected no contradictions from the previous storylines and while not 100% surprised by the ending, it was handled well. I usually like Anne Rice when one of her characters is telling his/her story and this one is no exception, the story being that of the newest protagonist Tarquinn (Quinn) Blackwood. But that's perhaps 2/3 of the story and the rest is "modern day" and I also enjoyed that continuation of Quinn's story/life.
