Donald J. Trump added the United States of America to his vast financial empire. He bragged about financing his own campaign. He said whatever was necessary to convince the weak-minded to vote for him. And thanks to the "rigged system" (Electoral College) he is now President-Elect in spite of the fact that a significant majority of voters did not want to see him in office.

There have been so many cries about what he might do to hurt various groups: Muslims, immigrants, LGBT, etc., etc. But we should be mostly afraid of what he will do to his latest acquisition.

Do you for a moment believe that he will give up control of his financial empire? Or will he simply give it to his children, and then pull the strings to make sure that things continue to contribute to the greater glory of Trump?

There is NO way to predict what Trump will do once inaugurated. His positions have changed so drastically in just two weeks that it is clear that even HE has no idea. But two things are certain:

1) Trump has a history of fraud, deception and getting around the law.

2) Trump shows no humility....HE is the greatest at whatever he attempts. If he should fail, he denies that it happened. He covers it up and moves on. (Witness Trump U).

This is a very scary man. Not only could he undo decades of progress in our society, he could destabilize the world by alienating us from our allies.

No one person, not even Donald Trump, can “run the world,” or for that matter, the United States of America. We have a Constitution and a political system that is supposed to prevent that sort of thing. I sure hope that it does.

The great check on power is the Congress. The Congress will be in lockstep with Trump. The fascists rejoice.

Aren't you the cheery one? ;o)

From what we've seen so far, I have to agree with you. It's amazing how gutless the politicians have been. How on earth could people who Trump insulted so viciously turn around and support the guy??? I guess they have the same lack of principles.

And there's the business of the invisible tax returns. And the huge problem of conflict of interest with a multinational corporation headed by the POTUS.

Looks like we're getting what we deserve. Nobody is willing to stand up to Trump, so he can do ANYthing he pleases.

We Democrats and Progressives and other patriotic Americans need to fight Trump (and his family) at every turn and in every way.

Remember he only won thanks to an cyber/propaganda attack on our country by a foreign power (Russia). All with the help of our political Right.

Wow you put that in the same sentence?

Just imagine how awful and unpatriotic it would be if people didn't accept a President, and fought his job bills and spending plans every step of the way.

You really do stomp your feet and yell when you post don;t you?

Said Democrats and "Progressives" moaned and groaned and stomped their feet when Ed Rendell said, "Our number one priority is making sure Barack Obama’s a one-term president"--as if the opposition doesn't ALWAYS strive to make the winning candidate a one term president.

Pfffft! Sore losers and nothing more.

Where were you for the past 8 years? That's exactly what the GOP--and DOnald Trump!--did.
