One of my grandsons has Aspergers syndrome, and I have been reading a lot about autism. I just finished reading "The autistic brain : thinking across the spectrum" by Temple Grandin.

In this book, the author discusses problems in diagnosing mental illness, and is also highly critical of DMV-5. She agrees that diagnoses should be based on science, not symptoms. There has been much research lately that autism in particular appears to be more of a neurological issue that a mental illness.

This is one awesome lady, in my book.
