One of the best things that I learned from this pandemic is how much I DON'T miss shopping in person. I still go to the supermarket because I want to pick out my food with care. The other stores? Forget it!

First, there's the traffic, which is getting worse now that we're in the holiday season. Then there can be lines of customers, with and without masks. Of course if there's a sign on the door saying that unvaccinated customers must wear masks, I'm sure that EVERYbody is complying (wink).

Online shopping, OTOH, seems to be getting better and better. I just ordered some allergy pills from Amazon. They were supposed to be delivered on Sunday, but then I got a notice that they'll be here tomorrow.

We've entered a new world. Those who use the technology effectively are going to be happy with it. Instead of risking spread of Covid, I met with my grandkids yesterday via Zoom. Now if I could just get my computer to bake a turkey!

I said it's a new world. Not a perfect one.
