I have good news to report. I called Sallie and explained my problem of the capitalized interest. I went round and round in circles with the rep.

Me: "According to section 682.210 of the Title 34 code...." (thanks w505a!)

Sallie: "Yes, but your deferrment ended in December and began again in February, so the charge is correct."

We litterally went through this little dance 4 times.

I remembered LadyI's ordeal and asked to speak directly to the supervisor. I once again explained that I was on break and read the code. Low and behold he said I was correct and reversed the interest. I was watching online and not but 10 seconds later the interest went POOF. Now if I could just get the rest of my loan to go away that easy...

Thanks to those on the board who helped me out.

Kind Regards,
Rob
