Good morning,

I have been using an online brokerage firm for buying and selling stocks for quite some time. I wanted to try options trading for sell to open puts but my approved options level didn't allow me to do that. When I contacted to customer service, they said that I was already approved for the highest level that they offered, which included writing covered calls and buying calls and puts and they did not offer the ability to write/ sell to open puts at all. My question is whether this is a common thing for individual accounts and whether there are any online brokerage services that offer to ability to sell to open puts?

Thanks in advance.
