It looks like Corporate Automotive America wants to nickel and dime us to death.

OnStar has monthly fees, Digital Satellite Radio has fees (even with the damned commercials). They make us pay for the these products in the first place then hit us for monthly service fees to use them!

For example, if 5,000,000 cars with Satellite Radio pay $10 per month, that equals 600 Million Dollars each year, and 3 Billion Dollars in 5 years!

I don't think we really want a number of fee based services on our new vehicles. Its bad enough paying off the vehicle loan / lease itself, let alone the other hidden fees; the auto club, insurance, drivers licenses, registration, gas, tuneups, oil changes, flat tires, burnt out bulbs, speeding tickets, parking tickets, other citations, etc.

We still want to be able to afford driving our vehicles without bankrupting the economy or second mortgaging the house, the wife and the kids too...
