Ooph, I'm not sure I have the patience for making chain-mail. I have a lot of respect for those who make it by hand. I made a pair of tongs, a not-so-straight fire poker, and did some small leaves and scrolls.

If you go to (Artists-Blacksmith's Association of North America), they have a big list of schools. If that fails, you can just google "blacksmith classes x" with x being wherever you live. If you just want a weekend course to try it out, look for small forge shops and heritage centers. Most shops with a website will have classes 2-4 times a year.
