I nominate OrmontUS (Jeff) for Feste 2011. Until mid-2011, Jeff's screen name was washcomp.

Jeff truly embodies the Motley Fool motto, "Educate, Amuse, Enrich." Jeff constantly brings good data to educate about investing and business. Few could match the sheer entertainment value of Jeff's travelogs. Following Jeff's advice can help enrich those who follow his investing advice. Also, Jeff is just a nice guy who is happy to help anyone who asks.

Jeff's investing approach is international, probably because he has personally visited many countries around the globe and because he has invested internationally for many years. Jeff's international outlook constantly encourages us to consider the worldwide financial system, which is intertwined with the U.S. financial system and deeply affects us.

Jeff regularly posted "Currency Stuff," his own weekly analysis of the currency markets and their impact on many other assets.

Jeff regularly shares his entire stock portfolio "for heckling," which is helpful to many and which few (if any) other Fools do.

In addition to his on-topic posts, Jeff shared valuable insights on his specialties, computer systems security and travel advice. Before he left on his epic voyage in late 2011, Jeff was one of the most active members on the METAR Board. Even while traveling, Jeff posted his adventures on METAR at considerable personal expense.

Jeff had 3 Posts of the Day in 2011, plus numerous excellent posts, in addition to his very informative travelogue that contained some actionable observations (although they were mostly OT).

Jeff has already been honored as a Feste Nominee. Jeff's 2011 efforts build on his contributions for the Feste Award.

Here is a list of some of Jeff's posts. If the links don't work, please go to

Please rec this post and vote for OrmontUS for Feste 2011.
