Since the Ross Stores board was closed years ago and their ROE clocks in around 50%,I thought I'd see if anyone here also follows this stock. It's been a steady earner for years and one of Eddy Elfenbein's favorites in his fund and newsletter.

Like many stocks these days, it's up, up up. And yet, if my Wells Fargo metrics can be believed, is still on the lower end of Price to Book and other metrics. Nothing looks to be a nosebleed.

Considering our fondness for dollar stores, I thought maybe someone here -- Jim, of course, but chompin? other wise investors? -- might have a salient comment. Is there something I'm missing? Should I be nervous here? Has the market run up so far that we should be taking some $$$ off the table?

I've had a significant amount of $$$ on the sidelines for the last two years but I'm still wondering if it's enough. As usual, it turns out I'd have been better off just leaving everything in BRKB but some form of prudence and, ahem, diversification felt appropriate.

Is there any such thing as Value Investing anymore?
