For investments with time horizon of 1-2 yrs, what do you guys consider is a good investment vehicle? I curretly have my money in ING, which earns 3% but I'm thinking about moving it to Municipals. On average, Munis earn 3-4% federal/state tax free. With ING, I'm earning roughly 2% after tax. I'm thinking about opening up Scottrade account and buy some Fidelty or Vanguard longterm munis and selling them after 1-2 yrs.

Is anyone trying this and is there a reason why I shouldn't be doing this?? Or is there a better 1-2yr investment vehicle I don't know about??
