People ask is value investing dead? We have the widest spread in terms of performance between value investing and growth investing in history. Honestly, I don’t know. Here is a thought on it however.
I don’t think the answer is a very simple one.

It seems that the market is more efficient, and with algorithms, and bots, that it is harder to just buy a stock with a low p/e, and have it outperform. At one point, you could go to the library, get value line, and pick all the stocks with the lowest p/e’s and beat the market.
Now, I think that if you find a stock with a low p/e that is still a good company that you can outperform. That is not easy. It take research, product knowledge, etc.
