Oversimplification: High yield bonds seem to rise and fall in relation to the perceived strength of the economy more so than with interest rates, thus acting more like equity than fixed income

Assuming the economy is getting stronger, would high yield bonds be a good investment? Or do they go down as the economy goes up?
