Sounds like YOU don't want to retire and shouldn't.

What you didn't mention is can your BF support himself if he retires....or is he going to mooch off you? He'll likely want to file for SS......but it's hard to live on SS alone.

Don't know what your Medicare situation is. You're eligible and many companies require you to take it and they provide the supplement - that is assuming you have some health care coverage at work.

Many folks retire, then don't have enough interests and wind up going back to work as Walmart greeters or working in a fast food restaurant at minimum wage type jobs.
