Any particular recommendations for fine dining in Paris besides l'Arpege and Lucas Carton (as posted by others)? I'm going to make reservations for one or maybe two big splurges, and these look great.

Trouble is, there's a LOT of famous restaurants and they ALL look great. Anyone been to the restaurant in the Eiffel Tower? I've heard varying things and can't tell if it's a tourist trap or not.

Also, I'm thinking it might be prudent to do the splurges at lunch instead of dinner to cut costs--thoughts? Tips on dress?

TIA
