Apparently Trump thinks that being President is a part-time job. Yesterday at his meeting with the NY Times editors and reporters, when asked about potential conflicts of interest, he said "In theory, I could run my business perfectly and then run the country perfectly."

And, as far as potential conflicts go, there have already been a handful of actions that cause concern. Here are just a few recent examples:

1. When Trump met with the Japanese Prime Minister, Trump's children also attended the meeting. Now, totally coincidentally I'm sure, the Trump company (which is to be run by the Trump children) has been exploring real estate opportunities in Japan.

2. When Trump met last week with Nigel Farage, the UK Independence Party leader, Trump raised objections to planned off-shore wind farms. Now, it's well known that the wind farms would "ruin the view" from his golf course in Scotland. (Yesterday Trump actually said "I might have brought it up".)

3. When Argentine President Mauricio Macri called to congratulate Trump, he also spoke with Ivanka. Trump is working to build an office tower in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Reports are that Trump pressed Mr. Macri about the delays for required permit for the construction of the tower. (Note: Trump denies this.)

4. On 11/15 Trump met with his partners in Indian real estate developments. One of the developers, Sagar Chordia, confirmed that they discussed future projects (which would occur while Trump was President). Trump has already licensed his name to luxury towers in Pune and Mumbai.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. Note that, according to the NY Times, yesterday Trump said that he "has no legal obligations to establish boundaries between his business empire and the White House", and he added that the Trump brand "...is certainly a hotter brand than it was before".

Hold on to your hats.

I agree.

This is delicate, and how it is handled will give us a measure of the POTUS to be.

Do you remember the offer reported to have been made to John Kasich? If he withdrew from the primary campaign and supported Trump, he could have the VP nomination -- and run the country. What would Trump do then? "Make America great again."

Remember how everyone was going crazy because Hillary was running for President while still sitting on the board of a charity that did not directly benefit her?

How quaint.

And hypocritical.

This was perfectly, obviously, predictable prior to the election. No one should be in the least surprised. But the filth that voted for trump knew and didn't care.

Yup....it appears that Trump believes that he is immune from any legal consequences of these obvious conflicts of interest.

Hopefully, this will bring him down. Unfortunately, we might have to wait until he's inaugurated and can do REAL damage to the country.

I wonder if Trump will play as much golf as Obama did?

Yep... The Right elected this Criminal and placed his crime family in the white house. They own it and the weakness his families self dealing, pay for play, huge conflicts of interest will bring our country.

Heck now every Trump labeled property around the world just became prime terrorist targets. How much taxpayer money will we now end up spending on protecting his families wealth.

You're delirious. Nobody fought Trump harder than the right, many still are. You don't care about conflicts of interest, otherwise you'd have lambasted Hillary.

Terrorists? You mean all of those homegrown Christian terrorists will be after him? Because as we all know from Democrats, any other form is so rare as to be laughable.

You're not starting off on a strong foot here, and your past comments on topics speak for themselves. You only care about party, little else.

Have a great dinner, and keep telling yourself "Trump's a Democrat"
