"Medicare is another great example of the way govt screws the middle class. Most retirees must buy costly Medicare supplemental insurance to the tune of $200/mo or so to be fully covered.

Once again, your Medicare premium is diverted to cover the poor, so you must fund your own insurance.

The coverage is said to be universal, but I think thats a lie."

I think there a few errors in your statement. Medicare coverage is universal for all seasoned citizens that sign up. Part A is free. Part B costs $58/mo. The $58/mo covers aprox. 30% of cost. The balance is made up thru general tax revenue. Medicare originaly was intended to cover very needs. The program has balloned in scope far past orginal intentions.

SS & healthcare(medicare & medicaid) currently makesd up 40% of annual federal budget. Senior population will double with baby boomers retiring.
The number of workers paying taxes will reduce by 1/3. The medicare trust fund currently estimated to go bust by 2028.

Where is the money to come from?

A reality check is in order for future retired folks. There is going to be less coverage. Also that reduced coverage will cost more.
