“We got 'm!”. The perfect spin, the perfect manipulation!
A sober observer should answer “So what?”.

All motives for the Iraqi war have been annihilated.

There are no WMD, at least none from the last decade. Four hundred inspectors will return home.
The discoveries were rather painful than sensational. Danish soldiers found some rusted old gasbullits dating form the war with Iran. A war officially backed by the US and other Western countries. And the bullits were of Danish origin, sometimes life is so ironically beautiful.

The New York Times discovered that Saddam didn't trust Al Qaeda and probably didn't want anything to do with them. We can speculate on the intentions of Saddam but that will be all.

This leaves us with a regime change.

t doesn't matter when en who first wanted a regime change in Iraq. Clear is that right from the beginning the Bush administration wanted a regime change. O'Neill made that clear.
Looking in previous statements and events cannot change or justify their deceit and lies. Trying to do so, as the author in the article does, is far-fetched and even silly.

The behaviour of the military is sufficient proof of the manipulation of the media. Entire villages are often cut off of the rest of the world, houses are destroyed, men arrested, prisoners are treated with denial of their internationally recognized basic rights, …. Human rights are not made for non-Americans and with recent events less and less for the average American either.

Don't we love the generous gesture of granting the coward Saddam the status of prisoner of war, while 600 warriors are captured in Treblinka .. oh sorry Guantanamo?

Politics is a game of illusions. Surprise, even Bush realizes this.
Soon the real show will start. After having granted the rich a generous tax cut, it is time to seduce the rest. To seduce the rest … with illusions.
He will promote marriage, give money to the poorest, approve subsidies for the religious groups (after all he's a religious man), and more.

BUT the most beautiful move has been revealed already. Extending the borders of human capacity is music in the ears of Americans. Reagan has done it when he said they would reach for the moon and America soared by the sheer thought. Bush does the same but a little bit further, the moon and then Mars.
I simply know this is going work again. Before it was announced it never crossed my mind that this trick was going to be performed again. Now it looks so obvious.

And the natural consequence is that Russians, Chinese and Europeans are going to do it too. A new race started, a remake of the cold war? Perhaps that's the ultimate intention.
Huge amounts of money will be spent to give the masses their loaf and games. Poverty, environment, health, war, terrorism, … everything will be submitted to the higher goal of megalomania.

In the mean time a Sudanese succeeded in smuggling bullits from Washington to London. The temptation is big to write that for the US outgoing would-be terrorists are far less important than incoming terrorists.

Veg.
