A few weeks ago I looked at Pfizer's recent recovery and was deeply skeptical, and gave it a down. Last week I decided I couldn't justify to myself keeping it as a CAP down pick given the job cuts, and wall st. seeming to use that as an excuse to buy, buy, buy! Now, I'm probably going to regret it:

The failure of a potential blockbuster is important and very bad news for PFE. One has to wonder a bit about the way this drug collapsed -- as the story notes, the hype for its potential to investors and doctors had continued until recently. Pfizer's corporate performance in the last 2-3 years has been terribly unimpressive. I'm thinking of reupping on the down, but now I'll be stuck with Monday's open -- which will probably be down 5-10%!
