Pixy,

RE: Conduit IRA - Got it.

RE: Roth Conversion - Oops, Got it.

RE: 401k vs. Roth. I used Quicken's Retirement Planner to compare pretax yearly income for converting to a Roth using the formulas in your referenced post with after tax yearly incomes to keep it in the traditional. If I use the same retirement tax rate, it seems my best option is to keep the current funds in the traditional, limit my 401k to get the $300 match and start a Roth. However, that retirement tax rate's a real bugger isn't it? I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet but I'm glad I asked. Thanks alot.

P.S. I tried to use the Fool's Retirement Calculator but it didn't work, the screen would just come up blank. However, the Investment Calculator seemed to work just fine. I'd like to see the formulas offered before I make a decision but I don't know who at The Fool to tell, assuming it's not my machine.
