Many ethanol plants are shutting down due to high corn prices and reduced availability from last years drought.

POET is saying it is switching some of its ethanol plants to wheat instead of corn.

The recent snow storms are good for winter wheat. The snow protects the seeds and insures additional moisture. So wheat prices are down in anticipation of a good winter wheat harvest.
