If computer scientists determine that there is enough evidence to warrant recounts in certain States (i.e Wisconsin, Michigan, Penna.).....should Hillary demand the recounts, since her lead in the popular vote has now surpassed 2 million votes over her rival?

You guys keep sing the same sad song. One state, California, gives Hillary the popular vote edge.

Q: Who won the popular vote?

A: Clinton's lead of more than 2 million votes, according to the Cook Political Report, continues to increase, largely due to an influx of absentee and provisional ballots still being counted in California. She has about 64.2 million votes to Trump's 62.2 million; her margin in California alone is more than 3.7 million.
If California were an even toss up then Trump would have easily won the popular vote.

If we switched to election by popular vote 46 out of 50 States might as well stay home because the other 4 most populated States would decide the election.

No, none of the states would decide it.

The citizens of the country would decide it.

I know it's a new concept to the alt-right. It's called democracy.

AW

PS - If you're a Democrat in Texas or a Republican in California (2 states that represent over 20% of the US population), your votes don't count.

PS#2 - How many states decide the election now? Sometimes, just 1.

As a compromise, I suggest the electoral votes get allocated according to popular vote by state. The states still have their influence, and the citizens have theirs. Winner take all is a really poor system.

She should accept the results, because voter fraud does not exist, simple as that.

This is a preposterous plan by Democrats to undermine our system of Democracy, introduce more divisiveness into society, and do virtually everything that they stated they were scared Trump would do.

Hey wait a minute. Maybe they have figured out they can hack the votes after the fact?

Imagine the outrage of Hillary not accepting the election results and having a peaceful transfer of power.

True. Add in Chicago's 800,000 or so vote win for Hillary. And what would happen if Trump campaigns actively in California in counties with low Republican turnout? Obvious reasons not to vote in states where the main election is all but a certainty.

Party votes are important when you have state and local elections that are important. We had decent turnout in Vermont because of that. Vermonters wanted to defeat a very liberal candidate for governor.

And, I suppose that all the hacking of Target stores, credit cards, Turbo Tax, and so many other places that a Google search would take pages to list (a partial listing, not even mentioning the above referenced incidents is listed for your (hopeful) edification....

If all of these hacks have been done why would the system which determines one of the most powerful offices in the country not be prime for hacking?
