I would like to make an "old-fashioned" (i.e.1970's style<grin>) poncho of two crocheted rectangles. I have been researching online and getting nowhere. What I need is the size (in inches) I should make the two rectangles. All I can find online and in craft stores is instructions for the sort of circular type.

I plan on using the afghan, or tunisian (?) stitch to make the rectangles, so if anyone runs across the right stitch count, I'd appreciate that also!
