At the end of October 1999 I was first introduced to this board. For several years I participated and had a wonderful time getting support about dealing with my husband's desire to quit ... although he never did. Sadly, he passed away 11 years ago from lung cancer.

What wonderful people and imaginative celebrations we had! Some left TMF years ago but I never did. I moved to other boards but was always grateful for the reception I received and the caring and support everyone got. This was the very first board I ever posted on.

This was a favored board in the early days with a great many posts and one of the Gardner brothers loved it and said he peaked in often. He was so kind with his comments.

I am sad the direction TMF is taking especially with no advance warning. I am guessing the end will come sooner than we expect so this is my chance to let you all know how much I appreciated you and wish you all the best.

Robyn (originally Kay as that is my middle name)

P.S. - This board is about saving money and being able to invest in other ways so I do think it qualifies to remain.
