Where do I find how many preferred shares outstanding a company has?
Many financial websites have this field, but show 0.

Also, what affect does this number have on filling out the NAIC's ssg form (for those of you that use it).

mucho thanks.

They are probably showing zero because most companies do not have any preferred shares outstanding. You can discuss preferred stocks with other Fools on the Bonds & Other Fixed Income Investments message board in the Investors' Roundtable folder. Just hit Discussion Boards on the home page or Folders below :)

I'm not familiar with that form, sorry. I would look for guidance on the NAIC Stock Selection Guide message board in the Investors' Roundtable folder.
