Hi,
Ok first let me state I am not a citizen/Green card holder in US. I am here on a H1 visa. I plan to stay here another 4/5 years before returning to my home country.
How my question is - if I want to withdraw my funds from my 401k plan after I leave USA :
1) Is there a maximum limit upto which I can withdraw ?
2) Is this withdrawal treated as a loan - means I have to repay the amount ?
3) If in that financial year I do not have any other income - at what rate will I be taxed ?
4) I have heard if I take a loan for buying my house from my 401k I am exempt for paying the 10% penalty - can I avail that if I buy a house outside USA ?

Regards
Sounak
