Annoying problem... My little Canon bubble-jet printer cartridge stopped working.

I haven't printed anything for about 1 or 2 months. However, the ink-level monitor shows that the cartridge has lots of ink left and the "clean print nozzles" test didn't help. Sooooooo, I stuck the cartridge in 2 ziploc bags and let it sit in steaming hot water for a few minutes. Then, I stuck the cartridge back in the printer... NOTHING!

Maybe I didn't get the ink hot enough in the water.... maybe I should nuke the cartridge in the microwave for 2 minutes... hmmmm, that would be "FUN" to watch.

Got any brilliant suggestions to salvage this little cartridge?.... annoying it costs so much and now has stopped working simply because it wasn't used for a few weeks

Thanks
