A boy from the bush

I started investing after the market crash in 1987 with 1000 options in a share scheme by Rio Tinto for $5.18. I have remained invested through the dot-com bubble and the global financial crisis and many other upturns and downturns. Over this 30 year period I also had an international consulting career which has given me fantastic insights into the resources sectors, the utility sectors, professional services and B2B software companies. Today I spend my spare time reading annual reports, researching and valuing companies, and digging through the news looking for interesting clues.

How I Invest

I am continually looking for inefficiencies in markets. Most specifically this means good companies that are under priced, new companies that are as yet unknown, takeovers, turnarounds or other share market inefficiencies.
