Smart Plugs

Not strictly a "computer" question, but I have recently discovered the wonderfulness of smart plugs, and being able to tell Alexa to turn things on and off. Particularly useful for "groups" of things. I can tell her to turn on an [more]

I would strongly recommend you label what you're doing

Agree. This pinball machine was a "project" when I bought it, a 1993 "Star Trek, The Next Generation". It had been hacked up pretty bad by someone, with [more]

Power Supply Re-Purposing

I have a Power Supply from an old Dell Desktop computer I'd like to repurpose to power some lights in a pinball machine. It was given to me by a friend, and I don't have access to the original computer. I've looked online for the pinouts, [more]

Re: Expandable Hoses

As others have mentioned, the first ones leaked within just a few times used, and repair was not possible.

We bought several more about 3 years ago when the ends were redesigned, and have had no issues. They get a lot of use for watering [more]

Re: Which sports car to buy?

I agree with Peter, I've had multiple Miatas. All have been reliable and fun. Had one used BMW, it was fun too, but got tired of oil changes that had to be financed with a second mortgage on the home.
