Toughest Division in NHL

The Atlantic division is on pace for 5 teams with 100+ points (25 or more through 20 games).

Central has 3 (Winnipeg gets the nod with 24 after 18). Pacific and Metro only 1 each.

Anyway, enough baseball and back to hockey. The Bruins top line and Colorado's top line of Landeskog, MacKinnon, and Rantanen should meet tonight. 6 of the top 20 point leaders. Shame this is not a featured Wednesday night NBC game.

I would put Winnipeg right behind Nashville, Tampa and Toronto

I see Winnipeg as a second tier team with Washington, Pitt, San Jose and Boston. Certainly a contender but not obviously elite.

Looking at stats

After the Bruins took a beating from Vancouver, with both goaltenders looking bad, I was surprised to see the Bruins are actually 6th best in Goals allowed per game. Nashville tops and followed by Arizona, NYI and Toronto. Helps explain the start of [more]
