An Interview with torchmaster

Last updated: 6/2/2012
The Fool:
How do you define success?
torchmaster:
By living in your truth, whatever that is to you. It is important to me that my insides match my outsides. If not, I am not at peace.
The Fool:
What's the best product you use that most people don't know about?
torchmaster:
A drip torch. It is used to start backfires. I use them on my ranch to start prescribed fire to improve the range, kill cedar and create prime deer habitat. Because of all of the summer fires across the country, I'm certain that sales have gone thru the roof.
The Fool:
Have you had a brush with fame, the proverbial '15 minutes'? Tell us about it.
torchmaster:
Was awarded the Lone Star Land Steward award from Texas Parks and Wildlife in 1999. Had a couple of magazine, newspaper and even TV news stories written about me and my work with land conservation. I loved the work, but was abit uncomfortable in front of the camera. Was relieved when the hoopla subsided. Just don't know how the real celebs live in the spotlight. Not my cup of tea, but I was honored.
