This happened in June of 1999. It was more than a little embarrassing, and I never wanted to come on the eBay board to tell it. But now, and given this forum, is as good a time as any to let her rip.

I came home from a bachelor party and was completely SMASHED! I didn't remember the end of the party or any of the events afterward, but things became clear the next morning.

I woke up the next morning on the couch wih my webtv keyboard on my lap. I looked at my tv screen and saw my screen saver spinning around the screen. I turned on the screen and saw that I'd actually made my way to the eBay board, and had posted a message. The "message", which I thankfully did not submit, and couldn't have because I was completely unconsious, looked like this: aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

It filled the ENTIRE screen. I kept scrolling up, but couldn't tell if I was scrolling until I reached the top of the page. (You scroll up or down on webtv by pressing the arrow keys, and the screen moves up or down one screen at a time, so you can't tell if you're actually scrolling when the screen looks the EXACT SAME every time you hit the arrow, and that's why I couldn't tell if I was scrolling or if my keyboard was broken until I got to the very top of the page.)

It then became clear what I'd done. I'd come home in a drunken stupor, SOMEHOW made my way to the eBay board, SOMEHOW actually started posting (I still have no idea what I was going to write) and fell dead asleep with my finger on the "a" key.

So there it is... I'll admit that there are other times when I've posted with a nice buzz on, but THAT took the cake!

Is anybody here guilty of "Posting While Intoxicated"?
