Hi - new here - referred by MarkOYoung over at LBYM board...

(Thanks, Mark!)

The question is:

If i mail a donation of goods (i.e. not cash) to a charity, can i deduct the cost of mailing it?

Incidentally, this is for Tax Year 2002, so there's not much hurry. I FedExed (it was either that or UPS - no USPS packages allowed) some dresses and cosmetics to the Cinderella Project in Chicago this week and wanted to ask before i forgot.

TIA for your help.
