After the close today Covenant Transport announced record revenue, earnings and earnings per share for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 1999. For the fourth quarter, revenue increased 34% to $141.7 million from $106.1 million in the fourth quarter of 1998. Net income increased 14% to $6.4 million from $5.6 million in 1998. Basic and diluted earnings per share were $.43 compared to $.38 for the fourth quarter of 1998.
