This is actually a question not only about long stopovers, but basically one way tickets. My daughter teaches in Panama but is moving to Vietnam. She is coming back home (Atlanta airport) in early July for 3 or 4 weeks before she heads out to Vietnam in early August. So I guess she is buying 2 one way tickets. Also, she says she is going first class from Atlanta to Vietnam because it only costs about $200 more. I was very surprised at that.

She has checked online sources, even Cheapo Airlines. But that is another question. How can I trust an airline with a name like that? http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g1-i10702-k1462256-BEWA...

She is finding that to fly from Panama City, Panama to Atlanta, Georgia, to Hanoi, Vietnam is approximately the same cost as two separate tickets. Does anyone know of a cheaper way to do this? Would a travel agent help?
