Hi there! My questions are:

Is it wise wait a certain period after an IPO opens to decide to invest in a particular stock?

What are some things to look for (whether in media, new releases/innovations, quarterly earnings, or more) when deciding whether to invest in a particular stock? For example, if a pharmaceutical company was about to release a new patented FDA approved drug that could bring in millions in revenue for the company, it might be wise to look into their stock.

My stock pick is Alibaba.
