What brand and which year saw the last fuel cap behind the license plate?
I'm going to guess some mid-nineties Chevy. Corvette? Caprice?xtn
Hmm... 60's Mustangs had it. Not sure about anything newer so that's my guess.
No Mustang ever had the gas cap behind the license plate.
What brand and which year saw the last fuel cap behind the license plate? I really don't know. Chevy liked the hinged license plate, I am sure it was gone before '74 but the start of all the safety programs to make your ride safer was '66-67. So a GM product like an Impala or so in 1966.Are we gonna get a definite answer sometime?jC
Are we gonna get a definite answer sometime? This thread from Reddit seems to implicate mid-90s Chevrolet Caprice and Corvette as the last to fill behind the license plate.https://www.reddit.com/r/cars/comments/4h31qr/what_was_the_l...Replacement parts for the '95 Caprice seem to confirm this.https://www.summitracing.com/parts/rnb-576-303?seid=srese1&a...I'm stunned this feature lasted into the '90s. I don't expect to find this on a later vehicle.Regards,- HCFMisses the Caprice sometimes
