"4.0L 6cyl 5M"? Can somebody take a few to explain these to me?

"4.0L" - How big the engine is in "liters", each liter is about 61 cubic inches. Just to compare, a big 7.4L V8 in a Chevy Suburban is the same as "the old 454 cubic inch" V8. Your "4.0L" is a 4 Liter engine, meaning it's about 245 cubic inches or so.

"6cyl" - How many cylinders the engine has. Engines usually have 4, 6, or 8 cylinders (I know, there are 5-cylinder Volvo's, 12-cylinder BMW's, etc).

"5M" - This means it's a 5-speen manual transmission, or a "stick". If you want an automatic, it would be abbreviated as a "3A" or "4A" (3-speed automatic or a 4-speed automatic).

Anything else?
