"Anyone see this presentation by Whitfield in Japan? In it he states that all 20 of the world's top 20 pharmaceuticals have database licenses with Incyte. I'm a little surprised; was there news that Merck had signed up? I remember reading about a microarray agreement with Merck, but I didn't realize Merck had signed up for a db license. "

I would have though that we would have had an announcement. However, Merck, I believe, had a deal with Proteome, Inc. before INCY acquired them and that may have facilitated the agreement. The Rosetta deal may have prompted Merck to get the subscription. But, it was my impression that Merck was trying to avoid getting involved with INCY.

I would be (happily) surprised if Merck actually ha signed up as a regular subscriber....
