Why is it that the most breathless, urgent accusations made by political opponents always seem to end up exploding and disappearing in a noxious cloud of sulfurous smoke?

Why did 60 minutes run a damming story about Benghazi?

Only because Dems have the whitehouse.
Remember Valerie Plame? Or the 9-11 truthers?

Nothing new was revealed in the 60 Minutes story.

______________
So when something is a boondoggle, and it has been pointed out once or twice, while at the same time, no one was taken to task, it is only ranting, when they ask, "who knew what when", if the GOP does it?
Actually their story pointed out it was a tad more than a boondoggle. It was apathy on steroids, followed by a whole lot of arse covering and now a lot of chastisement of those who dare to ask.

__________
Obama was quoted as saying the 60 Minutes story was the first time he heard about Benghazi. Just because something isn't new doesn't mean it shouldn't have been reported. The lack of new information is coming from the White House locking people out and refusing to answer questions or respond to evidence already out there.
Then again at this point "What difference does it make".

Something is only important to a person if it is important to that person.
If its not important to a lot of people then it gets dropped.
Benghazi was important to many, before Obama diffused it well by lying in a debate: after not referring directly to it as an act of terror, he said he did refer to it as an act of terror, then Candy Crowley confirmed his lie as truth, the press attacked Romney, the Republicans gave up on Romney, Hillary faked sick, then said "what does it matter now?" and the press went to sleep, not wanting to tarnish the Hillary Clinton State Department image.
It got played out perfectly, as it should when you have the government and the press with the same agenda.
Meanwhile when a anti-bush State department worker, Richard Armitage, leaks the name of a dormant covered agent from the CIA, the white hot light stays on the story for years until the independent prosecutor can find someone to hang... Then a movie is made by Hollywood in which no one plays Richard Armitage.

Bill, unlike you and your progressives friends, people see this as an important issue that has not received deserved answers to question on how an US ambassador was killed. Instead what we have gotten is miinformation, misdirection and no cooperation.
You are being total hypocrite. If this was george Bush you would be all over this!

"Remember Valerie Plame?"
Sure do. Even though it didn't lead to Cheney's resignation in disgrace as it should have, I really don't think it is accurate to say that it ended "in a noxious cloud of sulfurous smoke."

Why did 60 minutes run a damming story about Benghazi?
I'm sure they're planning 12 shows for each of he similar incidents during Dubya's administration.
Right?

Or they full well know the proverbial sh#t is going to hit the fan.
Who ordered that stand down order? Only the president can authorize such an order, only, he was nowhere to be found during that time frame.
Who fed the state department that bull about the tape? Susan Rice and Hillary Clinton claim they just repeated what the White House told them, not what the intelligence community in the State Department or the CIA told them.
A year ago it was revealed that Clinton had asked for more security in Benghazi and was turned down by the White House.
Some accounts I have read is Bill told Hillary to release documents proving she asked for more help. She didn't, she says, because she did not want "to betray" the democrats.
So I guess the question is, who has CBS (along with the CIA) decided needs to be thrown under the bus. Obama and Jarret and/or or Clinton.
What's pretty certain is that an election rebid takes precedent over any risky action that might not go as planned and hurt that.
Who issued the stand down order, when, and whoever did, was it their call to make and veiled in someone else's authority?

That fox story that the Forbes blogger is using has been discredited.
There was no stand down order given. It' a right wing myth

You still never learned the difference between "spin" and "facts."
There was no "stand down order." The assertions of one have not been "factually" supported.

Who ordered that stand down order?
There was no such order, just as there was no live video feed to the White House.
