I've heard more folks argue the data is wrong - but also you have to
recognize that they saw the first transmission - and so the data would
be more suspect to begin with. Testing would have not been in place at all
during the start and other causes of death would have been likely.

Statistics are always, always, always suspect. Hindsight tends to make data
much clearer.
