Who just paid nearly $1100 for a 3-month supply of Teujeo (before his deductible kicks in next quarter) and he knows he's privileged to be able to afford this..."

FYI - DW was on humalog as well as Toujeo (about 85 units as I recall) 6 months ago. She went
on a weight reduction program and has dropped about 50 Lbs.- basically a low carb, high protein
and moderate fat content diet. She was taken off of Humalog about 4 months ago and the doctor
decreased the Toujeo currently to 48 units. Her blood sugars are under good control currently
and she hopes to see a decrease in the Toujeo soon. This after about fifteen years of needing
increasing amounts of insulin. So be aware there is a possibility to control diabetes and
improve control of blood sugar - and there is a way to decrease the cost of insulin you need.
May not work for everyone - but think of it as a potential - mainly through limiting carbohydrates.
